Julie Zetlin headlines U.S. Rhythmic Team for 2010 World Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 13, 2010 – 2010 U.S. all-around champion Julie Zetlin of Bethesda, Md., headlines the U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics Team for the 2010 Rhythmic World Championships, September 19-26, at the Olympiysky Sports Complex in Moscow. The 30th FIG Rhythmic World Championships will feature 300 gymnasts from over 50 countries.

The members of the U.S. World Team are: JoAnna Arnold of Northville, Mich./ North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center; Shelby Kisiel of Houston/ North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center; Olga Pavlenko of Brooklyn, N.Y./ Isadora; and Zetlin, who trains at Capital Rhythmics.

The four team members were announced following a world team selection camp over the weekend. Zetlin earned her spot by winning the all-around at the 2010 Visa Championships. The All-around results from the 2010 Visa Championships also determined the top six senior athletes invited to the selection camp, from which the additional three team members were chosen.
